LIV ULLMANN (1938-)
A stamp issued to the centenary of the film. The woman on the greenish part is Liv
Ullmann. She is a famous actress with success, also internationally, from the stage, film and TV. She is the actress
who has received most "New York Critics Awards" and has achieved great fame for
her roles in the films of Ingmar Bergman. Her sensitive and expressive presentation of
her role figures in both the historical and modern repertories are well known. Recently she
has extended her career as a writer and film director. Her latest film "Kristin
Lavransdatter" is based on the famous novel by Sigrid
Undset. One of her books, the autobiography "Changing", is translated into
26 languages. Otherwise she has given much of her time as Goodwill ambassador to UNICEF
and as Vice President for The International Rescue Committee. |
